Oh Boy!

Yep, thats right, we are expecting a bouncing baby boy... I can't seem to get pictures to upload to Jesse's work computer, so I will just have to post the sonogram pictures when I can get our old computer working again.

He weighed in at 10 oz, and he is so much cuter in utero that Lyla was. She had buggy eyes and a weird circle nose, but he just looked quite normal! And as the sonographer was moving around taking measurements and such, I caught a look in between his legs and I knew it was a boy right away. Then at the very end she asked if we wanted to know the sex. Of course we did, so she zoomed down there again and said, oh look, it's a boy! To bad it wasn't a suprise to me... but still fun to get it confirmed. Yesterday I told my Grandmother that I was 99% sure it was a boy, I am glad I was right or I would have never heard the end of it! Sometimes mommies just know!

I do believe we will be naming him Spencer, but we aren't so sure, and so it is still up for discussion. Hopefully we can get pictures up soon.

Another New Addition

No, we aren't having twins... at least not that we know of. But we have acquired this guy. A brindle and white American bulldog (or at least that what he looks like to me).

Saturday Lyla and I were going on a walk and we saw him going through some neighbors garbage. My first thought was "that is one big mean looking dog, I think I will walk on the other side of the street"... so I did. Later that day, Lyla and I were out front playing with rocks, when this beast comes bounding up. I run to the door with Lyla in tow screaming "Jesse Help Me, there is a beast in our garage!"

As soon as I opened the door he bolted in. I had to tug him back outside by his leather collar, that has NO tags! I then procede to evaluate his condition. Bones showing through, walks like he has arthritis in his hips, red saggy eyes, and black bumps on his snout. So my conclusion: old, abandoned, diseased dog that someone dumped in the desert to die. But he didn't die, he found my house! So I called the humane society, but they don't pick up. I called Animal control, but they said they couldn't guarentee capture (like he is so hard to catch, he sleeps all day on my doorstep). I would take him in myself but there is a $40 drop off fee, and he isn't even my dog!

Well my heart went out to the poor guy, so I got him a bowl of water, well it was LOVE after that, at least for him. He now resides on our doorstep, hardly letting us in and out of the house without wanting a pet, or to be let in. He also tries to jump in our cars to come with us when we leave. He alerts us of people who pull into the driveway. He adores Lyla. He croons songs in the morning when he awakes. He sits when told to sit. He really is quite loveable... so I fed him a hot dog, and some oatmeal because that was all I had. Until today, when my Grandmother insisted on buying dogfood.

Now, I know he can't stay. Besides he would need a good scrub down, and deworming, and full work up at a vet clinic... $$$$! I guess we will just have to find him a good home... Anybody?? Or wait patiently until animal control actually comes out to get him.
