C is for Certified, P is for Public, A is for Accountant!

Ok...ok I'm a bit ahead of myself Jesse isn't quite there... but he did pass all his exams! I just have to toss humility out the door, and take a moment to tell you that Jesse just finished all four parts of his CPA examinations! Now he just needs to finish putting in his "time."

Now I would like to brag, because I think he is so incredibly AMAZING! Each exam is 4 hours long, and have a 50% or less pass rate. Collectively only 10% of people pass all four tests on their first try. FYI, my honey is in that 10%!!! It takes a 75 to pass, but he didn't just pass, he got a 99, 86, 86, and 90!

He worked so hard to acheive this. He spent hours, and hours studying, and he was truly dedicated. There were lots of late nights, and early mornings, and days without seeing his little girl or wife. But we are so proud of him! It took lots of praying too!

I know the Lord has blessed our family so much this past year, and this is just another testament of that. I know Jesse was blessed to be able to accomplish all this, and he could have never done it by himself. God really does have a hand in all of our lives, and I'm so happy we can see it manifested daily in ours!

Summer Lovin'

Indeed, many things have changed for the Tuckers this summer. But summer isn't over yet and changes are still taking place. Two of the most recent events have been no computer for me (since it crashed), and no car for me either! I posted our truck on craigslist on Labor Day evening, and it was sold by the next afternoon. I know I should be thankful, but it was so fast I wasn't prepared... because we just started looking for a replacement car (hopefully a suburban), and hadn't found anything yet. So I am computerless and carless. Which isn't so bad... I have a really clean house!!!!

But even with all the changes summer has brought, good and bad, mostly good though, I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing Lyla's first real summer. So here are some of the things we loved this summer: Juicy Watermelon at the Sandorf family Reunion

Sugar cookie dough right of the beater

And because mommy's sugar cookies are soooo good
we had to post 2 pictures!

Lyla fell in love with all necklaces this summer
the bigger the better.

We enjoyed swimming with cousins
(please exuse the nudity)

We played dress up
(she likes to pick one of my shirts to wear each morning)

We treated ourselves to beautiful music
And sang lots of primary songs

We didn't let a single monsoon puddle go to waste!

And finally, we got to know Spencer a little better. Lyla likes to point to my belly and say "Baby". Just today I held up an outfit I bought for him and I said this is for your new baby, and she ran over and gave my belly a kiss!

Sorry these are blurry, if I don't want the flash to come on, I have to take it in sunset mode, which takes like 5 seconds to capture, and if I even breathe the movement causes it to be blurry

We have enjoyed our summer, but now when we go out to pick weeds in the morning there is a crisp feeling in the breeze, and I can't wait to share fall with my sweet girl. I have been daydreaming about pumpkin pie spice, cozy houses, fall colored leaves, and straw stuffed scare crows... now I need to make a halloween costume!

Oh Boy!

Yep, thats right, we are expecting a bouncing baby boy... I can't seem to get pictures to upload to Jesse's work computer, so I will just have to post the sonogram pictures when I can get our old computer working again.

He weighed in at 10 oz, and he is so much cuter in utero that Lyla was. She had buggy eyes and a weird circle nose, but he just looked quite normal! And as the sonographer was moving around taking measurements and such, I caught a look in between his legs and I knew it was a boy right away. Then at the very end she asked if we wanted to know the sex. Of course we did, so she zoomed down there again and said, oh look, it's a boy! To bad it wasn't a suprise to me... but still fun to get it confirmed. Yesterday I told my Grandmother that I was 99% sure it was a boy, I am glad I was right or I would have never heard the end of it! Sometimes mommies just know!

I do believe we will be naming him Spencer, but we aren't so sure, and so it is still up for discussion. Hopefully we can get pictures up soon.

Another New Addition

No, we aren't having twins... at least not that we know of. But we have acquired this guy. A brindle and white American bulldog (or at least that what he looks like to me).

Saturday Lyla and I were going on a walk and we saw him going through some neighbors garbage. My first thought was "that is one big mean looking dog, I think I will walk on the other side of the street"... so I did. Later that day, Lyla and I were out front playing with rocks, when this beast comes bounding up. I run to the door with Lyla in tow screaming "Jesse Help Me, there is a beast in our garage!"

As soon as I opened the door he bolted in. I had to tug him back outside by his leather collar, that has NO tags! I then procede to evaluate his condition. Bones showing through, walks like he has arthritis in his hips, red saggy eyes, and black bumps on his snout. So my conclusion: old, abandoned, diseased dog that someone dumped in the desert to die. But he didn't die, he found my house! So I called the humane society, but they don't pick up. I called Animal control, but they said they couldn't guarentee capture (like he is so hard to catch, he sleeps all day on my doorstep). I would take him in myself but there is a $40 drop off fee, and he isn't even my dog!

Well my heart went out to the poor guy, so I got him a bowl of water, well it was LOVE after that, at least for him. He now resides on our doorstep, hardly letting us in and out of the house without wanting a pet, or to be let in. He also tries to jump in our cars to come with us when we leave. He alerts us of people who pull into the driveway. He adores Lyla. He croons songs in the morning when he awakes. He sits when told to sit. He really is quite loveable... so I fed him a hot dog, and some oatmeal because that was all I had. Until today, when my Grandmother insisted on buying dogfood.

Now, I know he can't stay. Besides he would need a good scrub down, and deworming, and full work up at a vet clinic... $$$$! I guess we will just have to find him a good home... Anybody?? Or wait patiently until animal control actually comes out to get him.
